Welcome. It’s my hope that by reading this site you can get a feel for my work and determine if it meets your needs.

I have been in private practice for over twenty years.  Clients have chosen to work with me to access a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others.  Clients leave our work having more peace with themselves, which in turn leads to healthier relationships with loved ones and communities.

Therapy is a relational experience that humanizes what you’ve experienced. Our task will be to identify and understand experiences that have been negative and to investigate the intended purpose of the patterns and habits that aren’t working for you. I approach “problems” and symptoms as information – something attempting to work from a deeper wisdom inside you. The symptoms that you’re struggling with are guideposts that can help you navigate your life in a direction that is more true and authentic for you.

My task is to create a trusting environment that is necessary for the process of change.  As our sessions progress, you will learn how to attend to what is happening in your body, your emotions, and your mind. Often the result of our attention is a deactivation of stress and unhealthy patterns/behaviors where anxiety, depression, systematic oppressive cultural norms, and addictive qualities diffuse.
